Nanopresso is a portable manual espresso maker: hot water goes into the 80 ml tank, finely ground coffee into the basket, and the hand pump does the rest, with no power and no capsules. The machine does not heat the water, so it must be filled with water that is already hot. The pump reaches up to 18 bar. The basket holds 8 g of ground coffee, lightly tamped; with the Barista Kit, sold separately, it rises to 16 g for a double espresso. The portafilter is pressurized and can be removed to work without pressurization. The espresso cup is integrated. The box includes the cup, filter basket, scoop, brush and a carrying pouch. Optional adapters also allow Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules.
