Miele

Miele was founded in 1899 in Herzebrock, Germany, by engineer Carl Miele and businessman Reinhard Zinkann: the company's official history page recounts that it started "with 11 employees, four lathes and one drilling machine", producing cream separators. The motto the two founders stamped on their first products, "Immer Besser" (Ever better), is stated to remain the brand's defining trait today. The "About us" page describes Miele as "an independent family-owned company since its establishment in 1899", led by the Miele and Zinkann families, headquartered in Gütersloh, Germany.

According to the "About us" page, in the 2025 fiscal year the group generated a turnover of 5.16 billion euros with around 23,000 employees. The "Philosophy" page states that Miele manufactures "domestic appliances for the kitchen, the laundry room and for floor care, as well as machines for use in commercial operations and medical facilities", with a stated positioning in the premium segment.

The official site's "Products" page lists coffee machines, both built-in and freestanding, as one of its kitchen appliance categories, alongside ovens, hobs, cooker hoods, refrigeration and dishwashers.
