The CM 5310 Silence is a freestanding countertop machine, not a built-in unit: a single central spout with an integrated cappuccinatore, a 200 g bean container and a removable 1.3-litre water tank. Declared dimensions are 24.1x46.0x36.0 cm (WxDxH) for a weight of 9.48 kg; power supply is 220-240 V with a rated load of 1.45 kW. Milk is not drawn from a dedicated carafe by default: a tube attached to the spout draws directly from a carton or other container placed next to the machine.
Grinding relies on a steel conical burr with 5 settings; the manufacturer also states that grind amount, dose, temperature and pre-brewing are all programmable. Anyone who doesn't want to grind beans can add pre-ground coffee through the dedicated chute, useful for decaf for instance. The brew unit pulls out for cleaning under running water, but it is not dishwasher safe; the grounds drawer holds up to 6 portions before it needs emptying, and the pump runs at up to 15 bar.
The interface uses DirectSensor touch controls with a multilingual LCD display; the manufacturer does not state Wi-Fi connectivity or a user-profile count for this model, features that do appear on the CM 7750 in the same range. The parts in contact with milk (the removable spout with integrated cappuccinatore) are dishwasher safe, while the 200 g bean container needs more frequent refills than the higher-tier models.
