The Evidence Hot & Cold is a mid-range Krups bean-to-cup machine: 24 cm wide, 38 cm deep and 36.7 cm tall, weighing 8.4 kg. The manual states a power supply of 220-240 V, 50 Hz and a running consumption of 1450 W. The grinder uses metal conical burrs feeding a 250 g bean hopper; there is no chute for pre-ground coffee.
Krups states 18 drinks, including hot recipes such as cappuccino, latte macchiato and filter coffee, and cold recipes such as iced coffee and iced cappuccino. The milk system is a tube that connects to the One Touch Cappuccino block and draws from an external milk bottle kept in the fridge, rather than a container built into the machine.
Milk-circuit maintenance is manual, using hot water and soap according to the manual; Krups recommends replacing the tube and its nozzle roughly every three months. The drip tray and grounds container are washed by hand: the manual explicitly states they should not go in the dishwasher.
