Nuova Simonelli traces its origin to 1936, when Orlando Simonelli built his first espresso machine in Cessapalombo. The company moved to Tolentino in 1948 and, in 1976, to its present headquarters in Belforte del Chienti, in the province of Macerata.
It makes professional espresso machines (the Aurelia and Appia lines), super-automatic machines (the Prontobar series), home machines (Oscar, Oscar Mood, Musica) and coffee grinders (GX, MDJ, MDXS, DUO, Viva Grinder). The 2001 acquisition of Victoria Arduino turned Nuova Simonelli into a multi-brand company; per the group's own account of its history, the two remained separate brands under one corporate roof, reorganised in 2017 into the current Simonelli Group Spa, headquartered at the same Belforte del Chienti address.
The official site lists a direct international presence with offices and experience labs in Dubai, Hanover, London, Lyon, Melbourne, Seattle, Shanghai and Singapore, but does not publish anything about its service network or spare parts availability.
