Appia Life is Nuova Simonelli's multi-group machine, available in 2- or 3-group configurations. The official hydraulic diagram documents a single boiler ("Caldaia/Boiler") with a heat exchanger for each group ("Scambiatore di calore/Heater exchange"): the classic heat-exchange architecture used on multi-group professional machines, not a dedicated boiler per group. Declared power supply for the 2-group version is 220-240 V 50-60 Hz, with a three-phase 380-415 V3N~ alternative for installations that require it; single-phase power draw is 3150 W.
A manometer sits on the front panel and, during a shot, also shows the set pump pressure on the lower part of the dial. The manual recommends a pump pressure of 9 bar and a boiler pressostat pressure of 1 to 1.4 bar depending on the coffee used, both adjustable via dedicated screws under a metal cover. The steam wand is manual, with a control knob and an EasyCream tip for froth quality.
The 2-group version weighs 54 kg net and measures, per the manual's technical drawing, 784x544x500 mm (width x depth x height). The document does not specify the group type (E61, saturated or proprietary), boiler material, brew pressure at the group, or whether programmable prewetting is fitted — a feature that does appear on other Nuova Simonelli models.
