The Look V Timer is a Melitta filter machine with a timer and a glass jug. The LED-display timer lets you schedule the start time: the machine switches on by itself and begins brewing at the set time. The water tank is transparent, removable, and marked up to a maximum of 10 large cups of about 125 ml, or 15 smaller ones of about 85 ml.
The hot plate has a keep-warm time programmable to 20, 40 or 60 minutes (40 as the factory default), switching itself off at the end of it; the filter has a drip stop that closes when the jug is removed. Jug, lids and filter are dishwasher safe. Descaling takes about 25 minutes and must not be interrupted. If unplugged, the clock and timer must be set again.
A dial adjusts coffee strength without changing the coffee or water quantity: turning it clockwise gives a lighter coffee, anticlockwise a stronger one; for a large cup with the dial at its middle setting, 6-8 g of ground coffee is needed. Spare parts are available and it is built to be repaired rather than replaced. It suits anyone who wants coffee ready at a fixed time and kept hot on a plate for a chosen span, without a thermal jug.
