The Basic 2.0 is Timemore's compact electronic coffee scale, made of acrylic and built to sit under the group head or next to a pour-over dripper. It weighs from 0.1 to 2000 grams, with a minimum detectable weight of 0.5 grams, and switches between grams and ounces on its backlit LCD screen.
The timer starts automatically, and the scale also measures flow rate, to follow the coffee as it runs into the cup. The tare button zeroes out the weight of whatever container sits on top; a reset button on the underside restores factory settings in case of a malfunction.
The dial surface is waterproof and the charging port closes shut, protecting the electronics from splashes; a waterproof silicone mat is included too. The 1600 mAh lithium battery runs for up to 10 hours and recharges over USB; auto shutdown kicks in after 3 minutes of inactivity.
