pulyCAFF

pulyCAFF is the brand under which ASACHIMICI s.n.c. di G. Carubelli & C. sells its cleaning products for espresso machines. The company is based in Vescovato, in the province of Cremona, Italy, and according to its official page traces its history back to 1890, when it started as a sole proprietorship making common soaps; in 1920 it became the joint-stock company ASA, specialising in scented soap bars, and in 1950 it launched a line of synthetic detergents for institutional use. The ASACHIMICI brand itself dates from 1960, for household detergents, and in 1961 the company states it launched the PulyCAFF line dedicated to espresso machines — the year the brand's own site associates with pulyCAFF ("known since 1961").

Today the range includes cleaners and descalers for group heads and portafilters (pulyCAFF® Plus), for steam wands (pulyMILK® plus), for grinders (pulyGRIND®) and for surfaces (pulyBAR®), plus accessories such as soak-cleaning systems. The company states NSF certification for some products and a line made with renewable-source ingredients and recyclable packaging.

CoffeeSpecs does not assign a single founding year to the producing entity: official sources give different dates for the parent company and for the product line, as noted above.
