Ethiopian landrace from the Abyssinia population. Taken to Java by the Dutch in the early nineteenth century, then to Cameroon, where Bouharmont recognised its tolerance to CBD and released it between 1980 and 1990. In Central America since 1991, officially recognised in Panama in 2016.
