The ENA 5 is a compact bean-to-cup machine for coffee and espresso, with no milk specialties: the six one-touch drinks are espresso, coffee and their Cold Brew and lighter-bodied Light Brew versions. The grinder is adjusted with a dial, and a dedicated compartment lets you brew any specialty from pre-ground coffee too, started within about a minute or the machine cancels the operation. The brew group has a variable capacity of 6 to 10 g.
For Cold Brew you fill the tank with cold water, put ice in a glass under the spout and touch "Coffee": the preset dose pours straight onto the ice. The bean hopper holds 125 g, so it needs refilling often; the dregs drawer holds about ten servings. Roughly every 160 coffees, or 80 power-on rinses, the machine asks for a cleaning cycle.
The ENA 5 connects to the home network over Wi-Fi, but the transmitter for the service interface is not included as standard: it must be added separately. It suits someone who drinks only coffee and espresso, hot or cold, and does not mind refilling a small hopper often; none of its six specialties is a milk-based drink.
