The Perfection 680 is a mid-range countertop super-automatic in WMF's domestic line: Cromargan stainless steel build with an illuminated front and a metal conical grinder feeding a 250 g bean container. Declared dimensions are 25.0x41.0x37.1 cm (WxDxH) for a weight of 9.3 kg; power supply is 220-240 V, 50 Hz, drawing 1550 W. It ships with a 600 ml glass milk container, connected to the machine via a tube and a Cromargan milk lance.
The manufacturer states up to 21 different recipes, accessible through 8 personal profiles that can each store up to 8 favourite drinks. Expert mode offers 3 pre-infusion times, and the machine also makes cold drinks such as nitro coffee and iced latte. The display is a TFT screen. The spec sheet does not list a separate steam wand: milk froth is produced by the automatic system connected to the carafe.
One declared difference from the higher-tier models in the same line: the spec sheet explicitly states that pre-ground coffee cannot be used, so there is no decaf shortcut without going through whole beans. The manufacturer does not state whether the milk-system parts are dishwasher safe, or whether the machine has Wi-Fi connectivity or a dedicated app.
