Niche

Niche Coffee is a British grinder manufacturer founded in 2014 by Martin Nicholson, with the goal of building a single-dose, zero-retention coffee grinder for home use, after noticing that commercial grinders were bulky, noisy and retained too much ground coffee.

The first model, the conical-burr Niche Zero, took four years and more than 30 prototypes to develop and launched through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. It was followed by the Niche Duo, a flat-burr grinder with a patented burr-switching system that lets users move between grind setups without the usual difficulty of that operation.

Spare parts are not listed in an online catalogue: the company asks customers to contact it directly by email to purchase replacement components.
