Strega is Bezzera's home lever machine, a single-group unit that combines the traditional spring-lever group with electronics that automatically regulate the boiler water level. Before dispensing, the vibration pump fills the lever group to provide pre-infusion; during dispensing the pump stops and brewing pressure is developed by two springs, as stated by the manufacturer. The group is heated by a dedicated heating element that keeps it thermally stable.
The boiler holds 2 litres; the manufacturer states dimensions of 330x450x710 mm (width x depth x height) and a net weight ranging from 28 kg in the tank-fed version with vibration pump (S) to 31 kg in the pump-less version plumbed to the mains via a G 3/8" fitting (R), and 30 kg in the TOP version with pump. Stated power draw is 1350 W on the 110-120V version and between 1250 and 1450 W on the 220-240V version, depending on the configuration.
The manufacturer does not state the portafilter diameter, whether a pressure gauge is fitted, or the boiler heat-up time: these remain undeclared on the official product page.
