The Matrix, here in the MN lever version, pairs the gesture of a traditional lever with an electronic dual boiler: one boiler for coffee and one for steam and hot water, with two PIDs. The shot starts when you raise the lever and stops when you bring it back down. The pump is rotary and draws either from the four-litre tank or from the mains.
The display runs the boilers and lets you choose the colour of the sides, which are lit by LEDs. Pre-infusion can be set, switch-on and switch-off are scheduled for each day, the group has automatic cleaning and a reminder tells you when to change the water filter.
It is for someone who wants the lever, and its rhythm, in a machine that otherwise thinks for itself; and for someone who wants to choose the colour of their own machine. At 47 cm deep it needs a deep counter.
