Rancilio Silvia Pro X

Silvia Pro X is the dual-boiler update to the classic Silvia: the manufacturer states a 0.3-litre coffee boiler and a separate 1-litre steam boiler, each with its own PID, to manage brewing and steaming independently. Stated dimensions are 250 mm width, 420 mm depth and 390 mm height, for a weight of 20 kg, noticeably larger and heavier than the single-boiler Silvia.

The manufacturer states the coffee boiler has a pressure gauge, absent on the base Silvia, and two vibration pumps, one per circuit. The function Rancilio calls Variable Soft Infusion soaks the coffee puck with ambient-pressure water before the actual brew, to reduce channeling; it is adjusted through the machine's digital display. The stated portafilter is 58 mm, the same as the base Silvia, and water is drawn from a built-in 2-litre tank. Stated power draw is 1100 W in the 220-240V, 50-60 Hz version (a 120V, 60 Hz version at 950-1000 W is also available).

The steam wand is described as stainless steel with a full range of motion, of the manual type. The manufacturer does not specify the material of the two boilers, the group type, the operating pressure in bar, the heat-up time, or whether a direct water line hookup is possible.
