Brera is the most compact and essential superautomatic in Gaggia's range: a thermoplastic and stainless steel body, an LED display and physical controls instead of a touch screen. The manual states a footprint of 25.6 x 43.2 x 32 cm (width x depth x height) and a weight of 8.45 kg; for voltage and power it instead points to the data plate inside the service door.
The built-in grinder feeds from a 260-gram bean hopper, with grind adjustment handled by a knob inside the hopper; the manual does not specify the burr material. A compartment for pre-ground coffee is also available, selected through the dedicated "Aroma" selector. The brew group slides out by pressing the PUSH button for cleaning under running water.
The Pannarello frothing wand appears in the machine's parts diagram, but the technical data table states it is "only available on certain models", so its presence can vary depending on the version sold. The manual in any case forbids washing any removable component, Pannarello included, in a dishwasher: it must be cleaned by hand after each use.
