The ENA 8 Full Metropolitan Black is the mid-range fully automatic machine in Jura's ENA line, with a touchscreen and no physical buttons. The manual states dimensions of 27.1 × 44.5 × 32.3 cm (width × depth × height) and a weight of about 9.4 kg, running on 230 V / 50 Hz with a power draw of 1450 W. The bean hopper holds 125 g and the water tank 1.1 l.
The machine brews 15 specialties, including Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Flat White and Cortado, through a milk system with an HP1 connector: a tube links the combined spout to an external milk container or a milk fridge, not a built-in carafe. A ground-coffee compartment is also present, for using a second type of coffee such as decaffeinated without touching the beans.
The milk system needs daily cleaning if used for milk, and the manual specifies that neither the machine nor its individual parts may go in a dishwasher. Optionally the machine can be controlled remotely with the JURA J.O.E. app, but the WiFi Connect module it requires is a separately available accessory.
