Severin KA 4813

The KA 4813 is a Severin model with an integrated steel grinder and a glass carafe. The official manual states a power supply of 220-240 V~, 50 Hz and a power draw of 850-1000 W, a footprint of 21.5 cm wide, 31.5 cm deep and 43.0 cm high, and a weight of about 4.4 kg; the data sheet instead gives 22.0 x 27.0 x 43.5 cm (width x depth x height) and a net weight of 4.43 kg. The included glass carafe has a capacity of 1.25 litres, for a stated maximum of 10 cups.

The grinder has an adjustable grind setting, using what the manufacturer calls Perfect-Grind technology, and can be deactivated to use pre-ground coffee. The swing-out filter has a removable 1 x 4 insert with a drip stop, and a permanent filter is supplied as an accessory. The machine also has a blooming function that pre-wets the coffee before the actual brew, and an LED touch display with a timer function for programmed start.

The hot plate has an adjustable keep-warm time of up to 60 minutes, and a Be-Silent function lets you turn off the beep tones. The manufacturer does not state a brewing temperature or an SCA or ECBC certification for this model.
