This Severin filter machine has an integrated steel grinder with adjustable grind, which can be switched off for pre-ground coffee. The swing-out filter door has a removable cartridge with a drip-stop; the water tank holds 1370 ml, and the included glass carafe holds 1.25 litres, up to 10 cups.
A blooming function pre-wets the ground coffee with hot water before the actual brewing starts. An LED touch display with a timer lets you schedule the start time, and the hot plate stays on by itself for between 0 and 60 minutes after brewing (35 by default), adjustable across five settings; the button beeps can be muted.
The bean container holds up to 200 grams. The filter, its removable cartridge and the glass carafe can all go in the dishwasher. A display alert reminds you to descale every 200 brews, using a water-and-vinegar solution. It suits someone who wants to grind fresh without giving up scheduling and dishwasher-safe parts.
