The KA 4814 is Severin's variant with an integrated steel grinder and a steel thermal carafe, replacing the glass carafe of the KA 4813 with which it shares the rest of the architecture. The official manual states 220-240 V~, 50 Hz and a power draw of 850-1000 W, a footprint of 21.5 cm wide, 31.5 cm deep and 43.0 cm high, and a weight of about 4.8 kg; the data sheet instead gives 22.0 x 27.0 x 43.5 cm (width x depth x height) and a net weight of 4.69 kg. The water tank holds 1100 ml for a stated maximum of 8 cups, and the thermal carafe has a capacity of 1.25 litres.
Like the KA 4813, the grinder has an adjustable grind setting with Perfect-Grind technology and can be deactivated for pre-ground coffee; it has the same blooming function and the same LED touch display with timer. The steel thermal carafe pours with one hand and is designed, according to the manufacturer, to keep coffee hot longer than a glass carafe on a hot plate.
Automatic shut-off kicks in after 5 minutes. The manufacturer does not state a brewing temperature or an SCA or ECBC certification for this model.
