Olympia Express Mina

The Mina is a fully manual travel espresso maker: no electric boiler, no stated power supply. It is filled with hot water and ground coffee, then the lever is lifted to actuate a newly designed piston system; a built-in valve releases water onto the coffee bed and closes when the lever is pressed down, building pressure. A pressure indicator allows extraction to be monitored in real time.

The body is aluminum, stainless steel and brass, with an electropolished stainless steel lever guide and fork, and an anodized brew head with surface hardness comparable to ceramic. Dimensions are 17 x 24 x 30 cm for 2.5 kg, in a 31 x 30 x 10 cm carrying case (3.1 kg). The manufacturer states neither portafilter diameter (the included tamper is 49.5mm, but that is a different measurement) nor chamber capacity nor heat-up time, being a device with no electric boiler.
