The differences that matter
- 31 steps → continuous adjustment: the Libra can stop between two positions, the Sette cannot
- Espresso and pour over → espresso only: filter coffee with the Libra means another grinder
- 3.2 kg → 6.5 kg: the Sette is easy to move and put away
Which one to choose
Choose Sette 270 if…
A light grinder, 3.2 kg against 6.5, that can be lifted off the counter after use and that grinds for pour over as well as espresso. The trade-off: there is nothing between one step and the next, and with 31 positions the ideal grind can land halfway between two.
Choose Mignon Libra if…
For someone who grinds almost only espresso and wants to dial in the exact point without forced positions: the Libra's continuous adjustment allows it, with 55 mm flat burrs. In return it weighs twice as much, lists espresso only and filter coffee needs another grinder. It fits in 19.3 cm of depth, against the Sette's 25.
