Carimali was founded in 1919 in Milan by Angelo Carimali. According to the official "Company" page, its headquarters is now in Chignolo d'Isola, in the province of Bergamo, where the company relocated in 1993 and where the main production plant and offices are located; a second sales-and-service division for the Italian market has operated in Lainate, near Milan, since 2016, while a second production unit runs in Suzhou, China.
The company makes traditional and fully-automatic professional coffee machines, grinders and accessories, distributed internationally. The site cites historical milestones such as its first vertical boiler (1932) and the Vega fully-automatic machine (1960). Since 2017 Carimali has been part of the VEA Group, which also includes its Suzhou unit in China.
Carimali states it holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and PAS 24000 certifications, alongside a dedicated customer service operation; the site does not, however, publish a spare-parts catalogue or describe its service network in detail, so CoffeeSpecs does not give a parts availability rating.
