Magenta Milk is a superautomatic with the Capp in Cup system mounted on the steam wand and a glass milk carafe that can also go in the dishwasher, or be stored in the fridge with the suction tube already in place. The built-in grinder uses ceramic burrs with a 250-gram bean hopper; the pre-ground coffee compartment is still there, though it only brews one cup at a time.
After every milk drink the machine offers a quick-clean cycle; each day the Capp in Cup spout is taken apart and rinsed, while once a month it needs an intensive clean with Philips' milk-circuit product, with every part disassembled. The brew group is removed with the PUSH lever and washed under running water, with no detergent and no dishwasher; the cup tray, on the other hand, can go in the dishwasher's top rack.
The interface recalls 10 beverages: an essential menu for anyone after automatic coffee and cappuccino without scrolling through a long display list.
