Xelsis Deluxe is a Saeco bean-to-cup machine whose BeanMaestro function lets you pick an Arabica or a Robusta blend and its roast level, then adjusts the brewing settings on its own; the grinder is 100% ceramic, across 12 levels, feeding a 450 g bean hopper. The brew unit slides out via the PUSH handle, no service call needed.
The 22 recipes are personalised through CoffeeEqualizer Touch+, covering aroma strength, coffee, milk and water quantity, temperature, coffee flavour, foam and the order of coffee and milk, including brewing two cups back to back; three ready-made taste profiles (Delicato, Intenso, Forte) offer a shortcut, and an ExtraShot button adds a ristretto shot. Milk is poured into a 600 ml external container linked by a flexible tube to the internal cappuccinatore, or drawn straight from a carton with the metal tube dipped into it; right after each milk-based drink a burst of steam (HygieSteam Shot) rinses the circuit. Eight personal profiles save everyone's own settings.
The brew unit is cleaned weekly, along with the milk container and the HygieSteam system, with a deeper monthly clean of the milk circuit and a greasing of the brew unit every two months. An AquaClean filter, replaced after 95 litres of water and in any case at least every three months, cuts down on descaling. The grounds container holds up to 15 pucks before it needs emptying. It suits someone who wants the machine to adapt brewing to the beans, with profiles for everyone at home.
