Moccamaster CD Grand

The CD Grand is a 1.8-litre filter machine with a glass carafe, for small offices and cafés that want a compact machine for a counter, a bar or a pantry. It brews in 6 minutes, the equivalent of 14 cups per brew and an hourly capacity of 115 cups.

It is certified by the European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC) and has a copper heating element. It switches itself off after 40 minutes: useful on a machine meant to stay on all day in a workplace.

Used in a professional or commercial setting, it carries a 2-year warranty instead of the 5 years given for domestic use. It is built for filter coffee away from home, in small repeated batches — an office, a bar, a pantry — rather than for a home kitchen.
