The Porta Via is a travelling dual boiler, designed to take espresso anywhere, even to a hotel room. In a narrow body, twenty centimetres wide, it holds two small boilers, one for coffee and one for steam, the café E61 group and a PID for temperature.
For transport there is a dedicated case, which has a footprint of its own, larger than the machine. Water comes only from the tank, as befits a machine without a fixed kitchen, and there is no shot timer: the seconds are counted elsewhere.
It is for someone who will not give up a well-made espresso when away from home, and has room in their luggage. At over half a metre tall it will not fit under wall cabinets: anyone keeping it on the same counter every day will choose a home dual boiler.
