Elba Mini has a single 0.85-litre stainless steel boiler: the same boiler serves both coffee and steam, so the two can't run together and need to wait for the boiler to change temperature between them. Control comes from a PID with a brew timer. The 2-litre tank is made entirely of food-grade stainless steel and doubles as both the water container and the machine's outer body; above it, a cup-warming tray uses the machine's own heat to keep cups ready.
It's configured at order time by colour, and by knobs available in three wood finishes: black, walnut or olive. The pump gauge comes standard only on the Lux and Top All Black finishes. Every evening the portafilters and filters need soaking in hot water to dissolve coffee oils, with the included blind filter for backflushing the group, and the drip tray should be emptied daily. The box also includes a single-dose portafilter (about 7 g of coffee) and a double (about 14 g), plus a cleaning brush for the shower screen.
It's a compact, no-frills machine, built mainly for espresso, with some milk frothing, and the smallest possible footprint in the kitchen.
