The Puristika is the smallest single-boiler machine in ECM's range, built for people who want the essentials: a 0.75-litre stainless steel boiler, PID temperature control, and an externally adjustable expansion valve, which the manufacturer describes as giving extra control over pump pressure. The water tank is external, made of glass, with a capacity of around 2 litres, and no fixed water connection alternative is mentioned.
The brew group is ECM's patented design, described as a development of the Faema E61 group, and the pump is a low-noise vibration type according to the manufacturer. A pump pressure gauge sits on the front panel; there is no mention of a second boiler gauge, consistent with the single-boiler layout.
