Lelit Kate

Kate pairs a 300 ml brass single-boiler machine, with the 58 mm LELIT58 commercial group, to a built-in grinder with 38 mm conical burrs and stepless micrometric adjustment via a side knob. It is meant for grinding and pulling the shot from the same body, in a 34x38x41.5 cm footprint.

The LCC control system with OLED display manages preinfusion, stand-by and the automatic washing cycle, and shows coffee, steam and water temperature along with the running shot time. The 350 g hopper feeds the grinder, whose single- and double-dose grinding times are set from the panel. A 3-way solenoid valve dries the puck at the end of extraction.

The back-lit gauge shows extraction pressure, the body is brushed stainless steel with a wire-grate drip tray and a wide cup warmer. The manufacturer does not state pump type, operating pressure, or whether the grinder runs on a system separate from the boiler's own control — gaps worth checking before comparing Kate directly to other grinder-integrated machines.
