The Classic E24 is a portafilter espresso machine with a brass boiler and a 15-bar nominal pump. Its upgraded brass brew group carries a 58mm stainless-steel professional portafilter, matching the size and handling of a bar machine. The filter kit covers both a pressurized basket for one or two cups and traditional baskets for hand-dosed, hand-tamped grounds.
A three-way solenoid valve releases pressure from the portafilter the moment a shot ends, so the puck comes out dry and drops cleanly out of the basket. There is no pre-infusion: extraction starts straight at full pressure. The steam wand is manual, in professional stainless steel, with a knob to turn for flow control: steaming milk by hand is a technique to learn.
The 2.1-litre tank lifts out from the front, along with the drip tray and the steam wand tip. The interface is bare-bones, three rocker switches with their indicator lights, no display. Descaling is manual, with no automatic reminder. It suits someone stepping into portafilter machines who wants a professional-size group and basket without temperature-control electronics.

Pros and cons
In favour
- Three-way valve: releases pressure right after the shot, so the puck comes out dry and the basket cleans up easily.
- Upgraded brass group and a 58mm professional portafilter, the same size as a bar machine.
- Full filter kit: a pressurized basket for beginners, traditional baskets for hand-dosed, hand-tamped shots.
- 2.1-litre tank removable from the front, easy to refill without moving the machine.
Worth knowing
- No pre-infusion: the shot starts straight at full pressure, less forgiving of a grind mistake.
- Manual steam wand: getting good microfoam takes practice, there is no automation.
- Descaling stays manual, with no automatic reminder. source
