The Virtuoso+ uses a pair of 40 mm conical burrs, described by the manufacturer as made in Europe, driven by a high-torque DC motor through a direct-drive gear reduction. Adjustment is done by turning the hopper across 40 settings, stated to cover a particle-size range from 250 to 1200 microns, from fine for espresso to coarse for French press.
A digital timer controls the motor up to 40 seconds, adjustable to a tenth of a second, for repeatable dosing; the unit is switched on with a side toggle or a front-mounted pulse button. The grounds bin is LED-illuminated to monitor grinding, and the manufacturer sells a 250 g hopper extension and a portafilter holder that replaces the bin as separate accessories.
The manufacturer states two power standards: 100-120 VAC 50/60 Hz at 70 W (0.8 A) for the North American version, and 220-240 VAC 50/60 Hz at 80 W (0.5 A, class II) for the EU/international version. Dimensions are 13 x 15 x 34 cm (width x depth x height) for a weight of 3.6 kg, with an ABS plastic and metal build. The manufacturer lists design in Seattle, assembly in Taiwan and burrs made by Etzinger in Liechtenstein, backed by a one-year warranty. Neither grounds retention nor the exact burr alloy are disclosed.
