The Vario+ is the timer-based half of the Vario pair, built around 54 mm ceramic flat burrs from Ditting, housed in a metal grind chamber. The manufacturer describes it as factory-calibrated to finer settings, aimed mainly at espresso, alongside manual brew methods.
Adjustment offers 220 combined macro and micro steps, with a backlit LCD display and three time-based dosing presets, adjustable to a tenth of a second. The 300 g hopper has a shut-off valve that allows removal without emptying it. The manufacturer includes an all-metal portafilter holder as standard, alongside the regular 180 g grounds bin.
The manufacturer states two power standards: 100-120 VAC 50/60 Hz and 220-240 VAC 50/60 Hz (class I), both at 130 W. Dimensions are 13 x 18 x 37 cm (width x depth x height) for a weight of 4.1 kg, with an ABS plastic and powder-coated metal build. The manufacturer lists design in Seattle, assembly in Taiwan and burrs made by Ditting in Switzerland, backed by a one-year warranty. Grounds retention is described only in qualitative terms, with no gram figure.
