Bodum Bean

Bean is Bodum's cold-brew jug based on the French press system, with a second lid included for the fridge in place of the plunger lid. The body is stainless steel, rubber and silicone, with a BPA-free plastic carafe, and a capacity of about eight cups.

Pour in double the usual amount of coarse ground coffee, add cold water and stir with the supplied plastic spoon (a metal spoon can scratch or crack the carafe), close it with the fridge lid, and let it steep for 12 to 24 hours. Once brewed, swap the lid for the plunger lid, lock it in place, and press down to filter; if the plunger is hard to push, lift it out, stir, and press again more slowly.

The lid comes off and the filter assembly unscrews so every part can be washed after each use; all of them are dishwasher safe. It's for anyone who wants cold brew made with the French press plunger method, and doesn't mind taking apart the body, lid and filter after every steep.
