Hario Cold Brew Coffee Pitcher RISE

The Cold Brew Coffee Pitcher RISE is Hario's PCT-resin (Tritan) cold-brew jug, with glass-like clarity but lighter and more shatter-resistant — suited for outdoor use too. Practical capacity is about 840 mL, for seven cups.

The method calls for 70 g of medium-fine ground coffee in the strainer and about 1000 mL of water poured slowly up to the mark on the jug: the finished yield, 840 mL, is less than the water poured in because the grounds absorb some of it. The jug needs to stay upright during extraction, not laid on its side, and steeps for about 8 hours in the fridge, adjustable on later brews. The strainer comes out right after, and its bottom detaches for easier washing.

The wide mouth makes cleaning easier, the base is square-shaped to save fridge space and its slim shape also fits in the door shelf; the sealed lid allows both vertical and horizontal storage, and it's dishwasher safe.
