Faemina is Faema's dual-boiler home espresso machine, made by the Cimbali Group: one boiler dedicated to coffee, the other to steam and hot water, so the machine can brew and steam at the same time. The manufacturer states this directly in its launch release: "Dual Boiler System for simultaneous brewing and steaming." The group front carries a dedicated pump pressure gauge, listed as item seven in the manual's legend, "Pump pressure gauge." The front-loading water tank holds 2.5 litres according to the use and installation manual.
The same manual lists a weight of 35 kg: a real number to account for when moving a machine marketed for home counters, and one that reflects the dual-boiler build more than the compact footprint shown in the marketing photography. The manufacturer also states a wide drink range, from espresso to filter coffee to tea infusions.
The automatic milk-frothing function, AutoSteam, is not included as standard: the official press release explicitly calls it an "Optional AutoSteam function for perfect milk at the touch of a button." The base machine ships with the manual steam wand only. The manufacturer does not publish, in any document we could access, the dimensions, voltage, absorbed power or portafilter diameter: for those it points to the machine's physical nameplate.
