Bialetti

Bialetti is an Italian coffee-products brand whose official history page traces it back to 1919, when Alfonso Bialetti opened a workshop making semi-finished aluminium goods in Crusinallo, a hamlet of Omegna (VB), which later became Alfonso Bialetti & C. Fonderia in Conchiglia. In 1933 Alfonso Bialetti created the Moka Express, and the company today calls itself «the inventors of the Moka». Since 1958 the brand has been tied to the Omino coi baffi, the moustached little man Paul Campani drew for the Carosello TV adverts, who still appears on its products.

Bialetti is now a brand of the Bialetti Industrie S.p.A. group, which makes and sells housewares; the group is headquartered in Coccaglio, in the province of Brescia, has production plants in Italy, Romania and Turkey, and runs sales subsidiaries in France, Germany, Turkey, the United States and Australia. The official history records Rondine's arrival in 1993, when Francesco Ranzoni bought a stake in Alfonso Bialetti & C. from Faema, the merger of the two companies five years later, and the listing on the Italian stock exchange on 27 July 2007. In 2025, according to press releases published on the company site, 78.567% of the share capital passed to Octagon BidCo S.p.A., a vehicle of the NUO investment group.

The current catalogue covers moka pots, including models for induction hobs (the 2014 Moka Induction pairs an aluminium lid and upper chamber with a stainless steel boiler and funnel), espresso machines for the Bialetti capsule system and for ESE pods, whole-bean, ground and capsule coffee, cups and accessories. The online shop sells official moka spare parts: gasket and filter plate sets, and funnels for some sizes.
