Profitec GmbH has built espresso machines since 1990 and is based in Bammental, near Heidelberg, Germany. It is the sister company of ECM, sharing the motto "Make Coffee Yours": both belong to the ECM Espresso Coffee Machines group in Heidelberg, as stated on ECM's own "About us" page.
Production is split across two sites: the GO and PRO 300 models are made in Milan, while every other espresso machine and the full grinder range are hand-assembled at the Bammental headquarters, with design, development and production teams in close contact with one another.
Spare parts are distributed only through Profitec's network of authorised dealers, which also provides service, with maintenance recommended every 3-4 years.
