TWIST SD54 is the single-dose grinder Profitec currently keeps in production: no hopper, but a coffee bellow and a dosing cup with an integrated magnet into which weighed beans are poured for each dose, plus a leveler to distribute the grounds in the portafilter. The official manual describes the goal as bringing "the freshest grind into the portafilter, without loss of aromas and ground coffee".
The burrs are 54 mm steel with stepless adjustment as stated on the product page; the motor delivers 235 W at 1400 rpm according to the manual, which also gives an explicit operating instruction: after disassembly for cleaning, the grinder must be set back "to a coarser grind suitable for espresso", dialing the scale to setting "4".
The dimensions stated in the manual are 12x22.5x34.5 cm (width x depth x height) for a weight of 5.1 kg including accessories: a different figure from the 7 kg given on the product page, where the manual takes precedence under this listing's rule. The European version runs on 230 V 50 Hz. The manufacturer does not state grounds retention or whether the burrs are flat or conical.
