Baratza Encore ESP

The Encore ESP is the espresso-focused variant of Baratza's Encore line, built around a pair of 40 mm hardened alloy steel conical burrs manufactured by Etzinger in Liechtenstein. Adjustment runs on a dual-range system: 20 micro-steps (#1-20) for fine espresso grinding and a further 20 macro-steps (#21-40) for filter methods, turned by twisting the hopper.
The burr assembly is quick-release, designed for cleaning without taking the whole grinder apart, and comes with an included anti-static dosing cup that pours straight into the portafilter, fitting 54 mm baskets or 58 mm baskets with the supplied adapter. The stock hopper holds a stated 300 g; the manufacturer also sells a separate 60 g hopper for those after a single-dose workflow, which signals that in its standard configuration the Encore ESP is still built around a working bean stock.
The manufacturer states two power standards, both DC motor-driven: 100-120 VAC 50/60 Hz at 70 W (0.8 A) for the North American version, and 220-240 VAC 50/60 Hz at 70 W (0.5 A, class II) for the EU/international version. Stated dimensions are 13 x 15 x 34 cm (width x depth x height) for a weight of 3.1 kg; the manufacturer lists design in Seattle, assembly in Taiwan and burrs made in Liechtenstein, backed by a one-year warranty. Neither grounds retention nor motor speed are disclosed.
