Rocket Espresso R Nine One

R Nine One brings Rocket's domestic range the experience of the company's commercial-machine development programme: a fully saturated brew group, dual stainless-steel boilers and PID temperature control, built for heavy use in a small commercial venue as much as at home. The pressure-profiling system offers 5 preset programmes or manual control via the Rocket Espresso paddle, to manage pre- and post-infusion. Stated dimensions: 41 × 50.5 × 43 cm at 47.4 kg. The manufacturer states 220-240V/1600W for the EU version and 115V/1400W for the US version, with no single figure valid everywhere.
Water can be fed either from a direct plumbed connection or from an internal tank, and the manufacturer also states an integrated shot timer for timing extractions. It is the heaviest model among those examined here, consistent with the dual boiler and construction carried over from commercial machines built for continuous rather than occasional home use.
Pump type is not specified with a standard term (Rocket's own materials only call it a "volumetric pump"), and portafilter diameter, operating pressure, water tank capacity and the presence of a pressure gauge are all left undisclosed — details anyone evaluating this model for semi-professional use may want to ask a dealer about directly.
