Rocket Espresso R58 Tune

R58 Tune is the evolution of Rocket's historic dual-boiler platform, with two independent boilers each controlled by its own PID, giving separate thermal stability to the coffee and steam circuits. The brew group is what Rocket calls the "TCA Coffee Group", a proprietary design rather than one of the standard group types (E61, saturated, etc.). "Tune Technology" allows time-control of both pre-infusion and the final stage of extraction at a fixed pressure of 3 bar, reducing initial channeling and softening the end of the shot, cutting the bitterness typical of the last seconds of extraction.
Stated dimensions are 33.5 cm in width (40.8 cm with the display), 48.2 in depth and 42.7 in height, at a weight of 29 kg. The manufacturer states 220-240V/1600W for the EU version and 115V/1600W for the US version, with no single figure valid everywhere. The water tank is stated at 1.9 litres and can be paired with a direct plumbed connection. An integrated shot timer is also stated, along with a push-turn knob that combines two functions into a single control.
Pump type, boiler material, portafilter diameter, the operating pressure of the main extraction phase (the 3 bar figure refers only to Tune Technology's pre- and post-infusion phases, not the whole shot) and any pressure gauge are all left undisclosed — details still worth checking for anyone comparing this model against other dual boilers in the range.
