Slayer Steam Single

The Steam Single is Slayer's single-group machine that brings the Steam LP's functions into a smaller footprint, adding for the first time on a Slayer model an internal water reservoir that allows installation without a fixed water connection. The manufacturer lists it at 45.7 x 57.1 x 36.8 cm (W x D x H) for 38 kg, with single-phase power stated across two standards: 120V/60Hz/1.5kW for the 110V version and 220-240V/50-60Hz/2.1-2.4kW for the international version.

As on its larger sibling, the brew tank (0.8 liters, 900 watts, PID control) is kept separate from the steam tank (2.4 liters, 2,000 watts), and a three-position actuator lets you shift flow rate mid-shot. The Steam Single adds a dedicated pre-infusion circuit, programmable up to 10 seconds, and a record-and-playback function that saves up to two brewing recipes. The internal 2.5-liter reservoir is built in, with a fixed-plumbing kit available as a separate accessory.

The pump is a commercial-grade rotary vane unit. The manufacturer does not specify portafilter diameter, warm-up time, or the pump's operating pressure in bar: figures to verify elsewhere for anyone considering the purchase.
