Mignon Crono is the Mignon built for filter coffee: 50 mm flat burrs designed specifically for Brew-range grind sizes, rated for 250 kg of coffee. Dispensing doesn't run through the display used on its Silent siblings, but through a manual timer adjustable between 5 and 60 seconds, so the dose repeats by setting the same time rather than a program or a weight.
Adjustment is still stepless and micrometric, the same system used across the whole Mignon range: it repositions the lower burr and can be fine-tuned without losing the setting during maintenance. Ground coffee drops into a 100 g basket with an anti-chaff funnel, or straight into a filter or a French press set under the spout; an anti-clump, anti-static system controls how it falls. The bean hopper, smaller than on its Silent siblings, holds 150 g and is rounded so beans don't spill during loading.
It's for anyone grinding only for filter or French press who wants the same micrometric precision as the rest of the Mignon range, without a display they don't need here; anyone also grinding for espresso, or wanting to switch between the two without changing grinder, will find a more versatile answer in the Perfetto or the Silenzio 55.

Pros and cons
In favour
- 50 mm burrs designed specifically for filter, rated for 250 kg of coffee
- Stepless, micrometric adjustment, the same system used across the whole Mignon range
- Timer adjustable between 5 and 60 seconds to repeat the dose without a display or scale source
- 100 g basket with an anti-chaff funnel to catch the grounds without spilling source
Worth knowing
- Covers only filter and French press: it's not built for espresso
- The 150 g hopper is the smallest in the Silent range: it needs refilling more often
- Dosing is time-based, not weight-based: two different beans can give different weights at the same timer setting source
