Sanremo Cube R

Cube R shares its body with the base Cube — the same 1.9-litre heat-exchanger boiler in AISI 316 stainless steel, the same 1.8-litre internal tank, the same thermosiphon group with spring-driven mechanical pre-infusion — but with two differences the manufacturer states explicitly: a high-performance 54 L/h volumetric pump in place of the vibration pump, and the ability to set boiler temperature from the app, a function Sanremo ties explicitly to the "CUBE_R" designation in its own official documentation.
Dimensions and weight stated in the general catalogue match the base Cube: 33.6 × 32.3 × 37.1 cm at 27.7 kg, drawing 1500W at 230V. Water can be fed from the tank or the mains, user-selectable. The display is digital, and on this variant the WiFi app connectivity also allows remote adjustment of boiler temperature, alongside the on/off, tank-level and consumption-statistics functions shared with the base Cube.
Sanremo does not state PID control in the traditional sense, but app-based electronic temperature adjustment is the closest published equivalent. Portafilter diameter, operating pressure and heat-up time remain undisclosed, exactly as for the base version whose body it shares.

Pros and cons
In favour
- High-performance 54 L/h volumetric pump, in place of the base version's vibration pump.
- Boiler temperature adjustment from the app, a function specific to this variant.
- Same compact footprint as the base Cube: 33.6 × 32.3 × 37.1 cm. source
Worth knowing
- Pre-infusion is still mechanical, not software-programmable despite the management app.
- The manufacturer does not call this adjustment "PID" in the strict sense: it is inferred from context, not an explicit manufacturer label.
- Portafilter diameter, operating pressure and heat-up time are not disclosed. source
