The Cube R is the better-equipped version of the Cube: the same compact body, only 32 cm deep, the same heat-exchanger boiler and the same thermosiphon group with mechanical pre-infusion. What changes is the pump, volumetric and more powerful than the Cube's vibration pump, and the boiler temperature, which here is set from the app.
A display shows temperature, extraction time, water level and any faults, and reminds you when to change the softener filter. Besides temperature, the app schedules up to three time slots a day. Water comes either from the tank or from the mains.
It is for someone who wants a compact Sanremo with temperature under their control; pre-infusion stays mechanical and cannot be adjusted. On the 1.8-litre tank alone it needs frequent refilling.
